Happy Wednesday! Our day was full of sunshine and giggles! We spent lots of time outside moving our bodies and reading books with Chevy, made paper with Holly, caught rainbows with Dominique, and had a dance party with Dawn. We also had some special guests! The big kids from Davis Community School came to our classroom to share information they had learned about insects. We found out that hercules beetles have large pincers, monarch butterflies are poisonous to eat, lightening bugs are nocturnal, leaf cutter ants can carry items 50 times bigger than themselves, and stick bugs are great at mimicking! Additionally, we made baby beds out of blocks, built "wind turners" out of fort magic pieces, painted the background for our end of the year performance, and played family. Our delicious snack was roasted potatoes and black olives. Please enjoy these photos from our magical day! Love & Light, Dawn Vermont Early Learning Standards: - Domain 1.
