Meeting today involved being teeny tiny meditating pebbles. We took deep breaths and we listened to all the sounds around us. We even gave the kids "homework" today. Ask them if they remember what they are supposed to do at home this weekend (hint: pretend to be pebbles at home and see if the sounds they hear are the same or different than the ones we discovered at school). After meeting, we created some art, built some obstacle courses and furthered our investigation on "Dreams". Several of the children shared some of their dreams with me and we turned it into a poster. You may have noticed it hanging above the cubbies. For snack we enjoyed french toast Friday with delicious maple syrup and black berries. We planned to go outside but the wind looked a little suspicious so we decided to do some indoor trampoline work. While we were engage in indoor gross motor actives the wind looked to have died down so we began to get ready for outside. A few struggles emerged between peers, but we worked them out with our words and had some discussion and reminders about what it means to be a respectful member of our classroom community. By the time we really were ready to go outside it was time to go home! Happy Friday everyone! REMINDER: We have NO SCHOOL Thursday and Friday next week and be sure to sign up for a conference time if you have yet to do so! Thanks families!

Snack: carrots, cukes, and hummus, rice crackers topped with strawberry reduction sauce. In addition to viewing inside the fire trucks and creating our life-sized self portraits, we also worked on some collaging, collaborating, and paper punching as they are favorite activities around here :)
Our exploration of self-portraits has moved onto the life-sized variety! The children have been so excited and proud to see their work hanging from the ceiling once they are finished. For snack we had gluten-free corn muffins with cherries and craisins, carrots, cakes, and hummus.
![]() The leprechauns snuck into preschool early this morning and left their green pee in the bathroom! Becky and some kiddos worked together on creating traps that we set all around the classroom to see if maybe just maybe we can catch a leprechaun over the weekend! Tubes and tape, glitter and pipe cleaners were generously used in this silly and fun project. Today at meeting, Caden shared a fun new ABC book that was full of surprises. We shared our favorite activities to do in the snow and even interviewed Chef Jonathan when he came up with our snack. |
