Today was another fantastic day filled with lots of focused, deep learning! We made a duck boat out of our fort magic pieces with Elsa, turned the pulp we made with Holly yesterday into actual pieces of paper, created more thought provoking paintings in the light studio with Dominique, and read tons of books with Dawn. We also began a NEW project with the Davis Community School today called Reading Buddies! Once a week, five friends from the Davis Studio Preschool will visit the Davis Community School classroom to read books with the older students. We had so much fun splitting off into groups and getting to hear a variety of stories from our new friends. We can't wait to do it again next week! Additionally, we played instruments and sang songs, built some train tracks that carried important packages, decorated our light table with words, pictures, and the alphabet, went sledding at the park, debated theories about why chunks of ice were stuck to objects outside, and created the Davis Ice Rink on the playground. Our scrumptious snack today was roasted vegetables and black olives. Below are some moments that were captured throughout our incredible day!
