Today our school was bustling with dramatic play and creative energy! We designed paper puppets with Holly and used them to put on a show for all of our friends, created treasure out of salt dough with Dawn, built structures with Chevy, and experimented with ice and salt with Elsa. We also colored snow in the water table, engaged in some big body play, created spray paint art, and played games with Virginia. Our scrumptious snack was fruit smoothies, blue chips, and snap pea crisps. Please enjoy some photos from our fantastic day!

Today, our Davis Studio Preschool friends dove deep into imaginative play and some ongoing projects. We made hot cocoa in the water table with Dominique, navigated several adventure-filled scenarios in rescue vehicles with Elsa, worked on some new sewing projects with Holly, and created cookies and pizza out of salt dough with Dawn. We also learned some baby signs to help us communicate with Virginia that include "more", "milk", "eat", and "all done", wrote some cards and letters, explored some cardboard loose parts, went on a boat ride, played hide-and-seek and tag, used our strong muscles to shovel snow, sang "Happy Birthday" to Maeve's mom, Deirdre, and finished out the day with journals and a yoga journey. Our delicious snack was black olives, roasted potatoes, and guacamole. Below are some wonderful moments that were captured throughout our day for you to enjoy!
Love & Light, Dawn Happy Tuesday! Our classroom was full of happy, focused energy today. We continued our woodworking projects, helped hang new art on the wall, played in the water table, and moved our bodies with yoga. Since the temperatures were high enough, we were finally able to go outside and enjoy some time on the playground. Our snack today was banana muffins, watermelon, and oranges. Please enjoy some of the moments that were captured today!
Love & Light, Dawn Hello, everyone!
It feels so great to be getting back into the swing of things in the classroom. I have missed all of my co-teachers and students so much! And, Virginia is having such a great time getting to know everyone better! We have had a bit of a rough start this month because of some illnesses Virginia has been battling, as many of you can attest to with your own littles over these past couple of weeks, but we are hoping things are getting back to normal. Today was full of tons of great fun and learning! We started a woodworking project with Holly, practiced filling and dumping in the water table with Dominique, engaged in some wrestle play with Elsa, and went on some treasure hunts with Dawn. We also went snowboarding on our block ramps, listened to Elsa's baby, built huge towers out of magnatiles, glued cloth to wood, created our own treasures to find, read books, took turns playing Alden's ukulele, and so much more. Our snack today was oatmeal with pumpkin seeds and raisins. Please enjoy some pictures from our magical day, and I hope to see you all in the classroom again soon! Love & Light, Dawn We had really low numbers today as a lot of our friends are out sick and recovering from illness. We wished them all well today at our morning gathering. We have really been enjoying our new Cobbler, Cobbler, Where's my Shoe game as well as singing the ABC's "the funny Holly way" (ask your kiddo about that version). We enjoyed using recycled "loose parts" to create some interesting 3D art with different textures and colors galore!
